For the launch of L’Addition, a cash register on iPad, the creators wished to differenciate themselves from their competitors with a motion design video.
Launched in 2013, L’Addition is a cash register solution on iPad meant for bars and restaurants. It allows the user to manage reservations, to hold the floor plan, to take orders and to make the collection. It is designed to be adapted to the needs of every establishment.
I worked on this project with Benoit Prudhomme. We worked on the conception (design) and the making of a movie in design motion which presents the advantages of using L’Addition. He handled the creation of the charter and graphic elements while I was responsible for the project management as well as design motion.
CONCEPT OF THE VIDEO
The challenge was to represent the application in its entirety:
- The online reservation by the customer
- The care of the customer in the restaurant
- Taking orders
- The reception of the order in the kitchen
- The collection
- Data analysis
To represent all elements, we set up a carousel transition design. Each plan takes place on one set and represents one of the stages of the application L’Addition. At the end of a plan, the sets undergo a rotation in 90 degrees letting the following plan appear. These transitions allow for pause between each function presented. It revitalises the presentation and simplifies the narrative.
